Broadbeach is the place to be over the next four months with the biggest events schedule ever about to be presented by Broadbeach Alliance.

Starting this month is the 9th Annual Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival which is back with a stellar line‐up of over 40 acts. 2009s whopping success saw 60,000 festival goers celebrate a passion for music over the 4 day event. A host of local, national and international acts will play outdoor stages and venues throughout Broadbeach.

As one of Australia’s most popular music festivals, Blues on Broadbeach is proud to remain a FREE non‐ticketed event and will be held from the 27‐30 May.

Come July Broadbeach will be all about dining with the second annual Broadbeach Restaurant Week from the 16th – 25th.

“Broadbeach Restaurant Week is a unique event in that you can dine at a selection of more than 25 of the finest restaurants and enjoy a three course meal for either $35 or $55.”

Ceberano will perform a free concert in Surf Parade on Saturday the 21st of August. Also featuring at the Festival will be the Australian Celebrity Chef who opened Australia’s first 'Fifteen' restaurant and worked alongside Jamie Oliver ‐ Tobie Puttock. Puttock will present a cooking demonstration on Sunday the 22nd The Broadbeach Jazz & Food Festival will be held from the 19th to the 22nd of August.

Kate Ceberano is extremely excited about visiting the Gold Coast for the Broadbeach Jazz & Food Festival. “I’m loving everything that this involves beaches, music and good food! I am so happy to be the siren at the prow of this festival cruiser” said Ms Ceberano.

Broadbeach Alliance believes the strong events schedule will assist to bring visitors to the Gold Coast during a traditionally quiet time of the year.

“We have always had an emphasis as a business on delivering quality events to the City but we believe this will be the best year yet” said Mrs McCormick.

Local businesses are also supporting the 2010 events schedule and looking forward to the crowds of people the events are expected to attract.

Spokesperson for Mario’s Italian Restaurant and Alto Cucina & Bar Chris Lynch says the venues are eager for the upcoming events.

We support Broadbeach Alliance for these initiatives as they are a great promotion for the businesses in the precinct, and we benefit from their efforts

“Blues on Broadbeach has grown in to a Gold Coast institution, Restaurant Week was a great success in 2009, and the Jazz and Food Festival will continue to grow over the coming years. Mario’s and Alto look forward to welcoming guests to the restaurants during these great events” said Mr Lynch.
